DMD Students work with "Rockwood Rising"

Rockwood Rising, has begun services to the Rockwood neighborhood just a few yards away from the development site. Having remodeled the former Rockwood Police Facility to create the Rockwood Digital Inclusion and Youth (DIY) pop-up, MetroEast staff began offering free computer classes this February. Sixteen Rockwood adults have enrolled in the first five-week course in internet basics, email, typing, and basic social media. For each class, MetroEast provides dinner, translation, and childcare, and collaborates with students from the Center for Advanced Learning (CAL) to document the activities through photography and film.
